Tell us about your business and why you should receive this award!

I am honored to be considered for the Emerging Entrepreneur Award in Squamish. Through my various ventures and community-focused efforts, I strive to create positive change and lasting impact both locally and beyond. My entrepreneurial journey spans multiple businesses and initiatives, each serving a unique purpose and community.

In Squamish, I co-founded Trickster's Hideout, a business designed to serve as a creative hub and community gathering space. We have cultivated a welcoming environment for artists, art lovers, and adventurers, making Trickster's Hideout a go-to destination for connection and creativity. My goal is to create a space that inspires others, hosts local events, and enriches the community spirit. Every aspect of Trickster's Hideout, from its aesthetic to its operational model, reflects my commitment to building a brand that fosters collaboration and growth.

In addition to my work with Trickster's Hideout, I operate EPI Consulting—a pro-bono and sliding scale consultancy aimed at empowering organizations and emerging entrepreneurs. Through EPI, I provide strategic guidance and mentorship to those in need, helping to build sustainable frameworks for growth. This work is deeply personal to me, as it allows me to leverage my professional expertise to support organizations and individuals that might not otherwise have access to high-level business consulting. By focusing on impact rather than profit, I believe that EPI Consulting serves as a testament to the importance of values-driven entrepreneurship.

My entrepreneurial efforts extend internationally through two businesses based in the United States, where I have successfully launched and scaled several ventures. These experiences have honed my skills in business development, leadership, and strategic planning, enabling me to bring a global perspective to my local initiatives in Squamish. I have navigated complex markets and built businesses that create value for customers and communities alike. I'm also moving one of these US businesses to Canada in the next year.

However, what truly defines my entrepreneurial approach is my focus on people and purpose over profit. Each project I undertake—whether it's launching a new business, mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs, or consulting with business owners—centers around making a meaningful impact. I view entrepreneurship as a tool for community building, innovation, and positive change. I believe the profit will follow by solving human challenges.

This holistic approach to business is why I believe I should be considered for the Emerging Entrepreneur Award. My work bridges commercial success with community empowerment, balancing growth and innovation with a commitment to giving back. Being nominated for this award reaffirms that entrepreneurial success is not just about revenue—it's about the value you create for others and the difference you make along the way.

Thank you for this opportunity, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the growth and vibrancy of the Squamish community.
