Emily Shimwell - Graze Wilder / Dine Wilder

Tell us about your business and why you should receive this award!

I am the owner of Graze Wilder, Squamish's first (and best) charcuterie, event catering business. I am also the co-owner of Squamish Coastal Carpentry Inc. which I run alongside my husband, Dean. I have recently launched Dine Wilder Events which is not only the Sea to Sky's most exclusive long table dinner series but the latest community for women from all walks of life to connect and foster intentional conversations, to inspire and lift one another, motivate and provide space for all of life's events and feelings to be talked through. My intent is to create a ripple effect that will be felt throughout innumerable small businesses on the S2S by highlighting small business via our themes, speakers, decor, food and drink.

Finally, (if my plate wasn't already full enough, I am about to launch The Intent - the Sea to Sky's only podcast which speaks to the wider S2S community, hosted by myself and Alex Vark (a local realtor and entrepeneur), where we interview the most successful people (success can be in the form of economical, happiness, community), in our area to delve deeper into their why. Why do we choose to live in this beautiful place, why do they own and operate the businesses we know and love and what keeps them intentional in their full lives. Again, I believe this will have a positive effect on everyone in our community and will shine a light on the people behind the businesses so engrained in our home. Our tag line - ‘Conversations With Neighbours' really coveys what we are about.
