I founded Ashley de Boer Interiors in 2021 with the vision of creating timeless, functional, and deeply personal spaces that reflect the unique lives of the people who inhabit them. Based in Squamish, my full-service interior design studio serves the Sea to Sky region and surrounding areas. From the beginning, I built my business on collaboration, craftsmanship, and care. I also placed a strong focus on organization and client experience, creating clear processes that ensure each project runs smoothly from start to finish. These values and practices continue to guide every project we take on.

Design has always been a part of my life. I come from a family of builders and grew up surrounded by construction, craftsmanship, and a respect for the process of creating something from the ground up. That foundation gave me a deep appreciation for how spaces are built and, more importantly, how our environments shape the way we live, feel, and connect. This understanding drives everything I do as a designer. I approach each project with both creativity and practicality, ensuring that every space not only looks beautiful but enhances the daily lives of the people who use it.

What started as a small studio has grown into a respected and efficiently run business within the local design and building community. Through strong systems, open communication, and clear project management, I have created a structure that allows creativity to flourish while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client trust. Through close relationships with trades, builders, and artisans, we have become known for reliability, thoughtful design, and an ability to bring a client's vision to life with care and precision.

Being based in Squamish has shaped both my business and my perspective as an entrepreneur. I feel grateful to be part of such a creative and supportive community and make a conscious effort to collaborate with and uplift other small businesses whenever possible. Whether through partnerships with local craftspeople or sharing knowledge with fellow entrepreneurs, I believe that working together strengthens our entire community.

In just a few years, Ashley de Boer Interiors has earned recognition for design excellence, with multiple awards from the National Kitchen and Bath Association, HAVAN, and the Georgie Awards. I was also honored to be named one of the NKBA's 30 Under 30 recipients, one of only three Canadians selected. This recognition reflects not only my personal dedication to design but also the passion, strategy, and hard work that fuel my firm.

I believe I should receive this award because my journey represents what it means to build a business with both creativity and strategy. My focus has always been to balance artistic vision with sound business practices, creating something meaningful from the ground up. My work is rooted in integrity, innovation, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact through design. Every project is an opportunity to create spaces that bring comfort, connection, and inspiration to the people who live in them, and to contribute to the community that continues to inspire me every day.
