Squamish Dance Centre

Squamish Dance Centre is a community building dance school where we focus on not just teaching dance, but creating magical and capable humans. With over 650 students and 125 weekly classes, we have a variety of September-June programs to cater to everyone's desires: Preschool Program, Recreational Program, Competitive Program, Adult Program and a Student Teacher Program (youth who would like a leadership role in our dance family). We have a Birthday Party sector of our business with it's own decor stock, party planner, entertainment options, etc. We also host multiple events throughout the year to bring our dance family and beyond together to create special memories: Tea Parties, Move Nights, Halloween Party, Winter Craft Fair, Sleepovers and more. Every two-three years, we take a group of dancers to Disneyland to perform in the parade and take workshops with Disneyland cast members. And of course our popular summer camps! Our competitive team attends one-two conventions and four-five competitions across the Lower Mainland throughout April-May. In June we produce 9 recital performances: two Aerial recitals, one Preschool recital and six Recreational/Competitive combined recitals. And our most bittersweet tradition, a special dinner for our graduating dancers at the end of our dance year.

We also support many other businesses by opening our dance home to their programs: Sea To Sky Dance Collective, GNR Dance and The Soiluva Dance Company. Hoping to not just impact our own dance family within SDC, but the other incredible growing dance communities within Squamish.

We strive to create a positive, inclusive, supportive and creative learning space for all of our students. Providing an outlet for dancers to release through movement any challenges they may be facing in life, turn their goals to reality and create long lasting connections. Squamish Dance Centre is sooooo much more than a business!
