Woah- what a cool honour to be nominated for this award! I think what's special about Groms Physio + Co as a workplace is the non-objective feeling everyone (both workers and clients) feels when they walk through the doors. The clinicians as a whole are SO passionate, and dedicated and prioritize the team as a whole. They ask for regular group collaboration sessions, and crave more clinical knowledge. They aren't driven by competition, they crave collaboration. They are creative with ideas on how to improve treatment plans, workplace flow, and community engagement for everyone at the clinic. Our company values are to prioritize health and well-being, and this includes work-life balance. The clinicians are driven to be creative with ways to increase efficiency, not burnout. The clinicians are always excited to come to work, and feel a sense of safety and respect between all members. As we are all humans, and experience life highs and lows, the team is a pillar of support for each other for both personal and professional struggles and successes!
I think part of the reason growth has been so huge for Groms since they opened last year is because the positive workplace is contagious, and innate with the team members. This remarkable energy extends far beyond the physical walls of the clinic as well. Kids enter the space, and are empowered leaving, saying “I want to be a physio when I grow up”. To be able to inspire children to 1) understand the importance of health and movement 2) feel the goodness in helping others and 3) be able to dream about a positive future - that's SO rad! Kids being able to see other kids go through similar illness, injuries, and disabilities, and be in a safe space, to ask questions, learn, and grow, makes Groms Physio + Co's workplace a special place.
